| Scope: It will be the purpose of the Special Interest Group, Radiation Processing of Polymers, to promote and disseminate the engineering knowledge concerning the application of energetic radiations such as Electron Beam, y- and x-ray, UV- <visible> radiations as well as: swift heavy ions, lasers, infrared radiation and microwave radiation in the industrial production, processing, modification and recycling of polymers and their composites. The planned activities relate to · enhancement of material properties and product performance, · improved process control, · modelling and simulations, · adapting new tools and methods, · introducing environmentally safe and energy saving techniques into the mass production of high quality and cost-effective innovative products. |
