Philadelphia SPE Speakers |
The Philadelphia Section would like to invite people working or otherwise involved in the plastics industry to consider speaking at one of our local SPE sessions. Our local SPE sessions provide speakers the opportunity to present a technical, economic or commercial topic for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. This represents an opportunity to make others in your industry aware of your topic and thereby enhance their knowledge. You also get the opportunity to network with an audience interested in your topic.
The Philadelphia SPE is also considering a more toward a Mini Technical Conference format or Mintec. If you have a topic and presentation that would take 2 to 4 hours to present then we can consider arranging a MinTec for your presentation. In this case an afternoon would be alloted. You can be a single presenter or have your collegues participate; up to three (3) presenters total. So if you have an interest in presenting a topic please forward a copy of your abstract, presenters biography and any presentation materials you have already prepared. The Philadelphia Section Board will review the content and decide weather or not to offer to host your presentation. The Philadelphia Section reserves the right to deny a presentation slot. If your topic is not accepted all materials you provide can be returned to you or deleted from our records. The Philadelphia SPE will choose the location for the event and make all room bookings etc. If accepted you just have to show up with your final presentation and address the audience. If you are presenting corporate materials we discourage you from making company advertizements beyond an initial 5 minute introduction of your company and background at these events. The material presented should be factual and informative for the audience. The presentation must not take the form of a Sales pitch or Sales display. The Philadelphia SPE can also provide a screen and projector for presentations given using digital media. Lunch or Dinner as appropriate is included for the speaker at no charge.
