Scope:
The technology, evaluation methods, and applications of non-halogen flame retardant technology will be the focus of this Special Interest Group or “SIG”. Non-halogen flame retardant additives, and ancillary additives to improve non-halogen flame retardant technologies, such as processing aids for highly filled alumina trihydrate systems will be included. Also specific polymer technologies designed to impart inherent flame retardancy will also be included, such as polymers built on bishydroxydeoxybenzoin moieties, polyhydroxyl amides, or phosphonates will be included.
