Kenneth Pawlak
Abstract: Secrets of Medical Product Innovation and Design. Fundamental and Advanced Plastics Design. Good Design Practices and Medical Design Records. Writing Good Design Requirements. (Including how not to limit creativity.) Bio: Mr. Pawlak has 35 yrs of experience in the design, development and manufacture of medical products for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Pawlak is experienced in a wide variety of medical applications, plastic processes and materials. His product and component designs can be found in numerous medical products marketed today. Pawlak holds a BSE in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Business. He has 25 patents, National and International Design Awards including the 1995 Injection Molding Magazine Design Innovator Award for Career Achievement. Mr. Pawlak has worked for Abbott Laboratories, Kendall Corp., G. D. Searle Pharmaceuticals, Baxter Healthcare Inc., Hollister International as well as startup companies.
