Each year, the SPE President has a chance to recognize an individual who, over the years, has provided outstanding service to the Society of Plastics Engineers. The name of the President’s Cup recipient is kept secret until the President provides clues to the identity of the person at the SPE Celebrates Banquet.
At the ANTEC 2010 SPE Celebrates Banquet, SPE President Paul Andersen presented the cup to Rich Bradley of the Palisades-New Jersey Section. An SPE member since 1973, Rich has risen through the leadership ranks of both Sections and Divisions, serving in a variety of roles for the Palisades (now Palisades-New Jersey) Section, including President and six years as Councilor. He also served in many positions for the Vinyl Division, including Chair. Rich has been active on the Society level as well, serving as a member of the ANTEC Operating, Conference Policy and Planning, Conference, Honored Service Member Election, and Council Continuous Improvement Committees. He also held a 3-year term as a member of the SPE Executive Committee. Rich is currently employed as an account manager for Shawnee Chemical Company.
